๐Ÿ˜‰ I just found this web page. It is very impressive. You seem to have links to many stories that I am currently reading and authors that I truly admire. I have been following your efforts on FanFiction with the occasional chapters you post on LiveJournal. I am registered at both places as “maddie50.” Jean.

hello, i’m a little bit of a fan, decided to check this website randomly haha. i also am impressed with the site-you seem to have spent a lot of time on it! ๐Ÿ™‚

ps. jw, whatever happened to your “tides of time” story?

    Oh hi,

uhm how to say it … I LOVE YOUR STORIES … every single one.

I mean it. It is realistic (I know, its fan fiction but the stories ARE written that way), no fluffy oh I met Elrond and Legolas lets make out. Thank goodness – these kind of stories are really horrible (but I admit when I was younger I read few of them and thought lie oh they are good). But I suppose as I got older, they no longer entice me.

So I only wanted to say THANK YOU for all the wonderful stories. *a rose for you*

I just found this site through your profile on Fanfiction.net, and I just have to say…you’re a great writer. I’ve been a fan ever since I starter reading your fantastic story about Lothiriel and her adventures in Middle Earth. I’ve been reading it since there was around 50 chapters and I absolutely love it.

You mentioned something about chapters in the story that you did not post on Fanfiction.net. Would there possibly and hopefully be a chance that me could somehow get to read them as well? I wish to know all about Lothiriel and her life with Eomer King.

Again, love your work on this particular story. You should write an original story and get it published. I would most certainly buy it.

Hey, thank you for coming over and leaving a comment! I’m happy you like my story so much.

As for the extra chapters, right now I can’t remember if they ever got written …

In June I’ll have a bit more time, possibly even for fannish things, maybe I’ll be able to use a quiet hour or two to look into it. ๐Ÿ™‚

I shall eagerly await what comes out of this. But if the chapters have been written and can be found I shall be ecstatic. I like the kind of character Lothiriel is.

Here’s a golden star for ya: *you are a star*

Glad I found your webpage. I like your stories a lot, especially Tides of Time and the bones of the Earth which is unfortunately not online anymore. One of the best stories Iร‚ยดve ever read in LoTR fandom. Would you explain what you mean by “technical reasons”?. I’m so sad I don’t get to read it anymore. Would you still think about posting it again or are you rewriting it over?! Would be a shame for such a good story! Sigh!

    • JunoMagic says:

Thank you for your kind words. And I’m definitely thinking about posting it again. But unfortunately I don’t have as much time for fanfic as I used to and that story is very dear to my heart, so I’m a little perfectionist about it.

    Hi JunoMagic,

I still love to read your stories!! Would you consider posting your story “The Tides of Time and the Bones of the Earth” as it is now, maybe with a note saying you’re rewriting parts of it and when a Chapter is polished up you just replace it?! That would be awesome. I can’t bear to wait to read it again!! Wail!!

That way, we, your fans, can still see how the story may change due to your rewriting while reading it and it won’t be your loss either!!

    Greetings,

    Ray ๐Ÿ˜‰

    Hi there!

First, let me say that I adore your writing style. You must be an incredibly intelligent woman; it is reflected in your syntax, vocabulary, and story-telling style. You are also obviously a creative woman, to have been able to take the hp universe and add on the necromancy dimension (and in the other stories the perfumier’s guild and culture) in a believable and meaningful way. Anyone can write an OFC or create random new aspects of the magical world to tack onto JKR’s universe. Few can do it well. You do it superbly. In short, I am a fan.

I read your fanfic about perfume on Ashwinder, as well as Prisoners on Petulant Poetess, and I thought, “hey, I wonder if she’s written anything else?”, which of course lead me to this site. I am so thoroughly excited that Necromancer is completed (because I was doing a fair imitation of a meth junkie compulsively checking the recently uploaded stories section for new chapters). I blew through the whole thing in 2 days. And then I was elated to see a sequel… only to find that it wasn’t completed and that you weren’t writing anymore.

So, having read all your posted fanfiction both here and on FFnet, I find myself in need of my next fix.

But in all seriousness, I was a bit startled to see your news blurb from November that you were quitting writing. It is very rare for such a prolific (and fantastic) writer such as yourself to stop writing (notice I did not say “give up”; there is a difference). I’m going to hazard a guess and say it isn’t a time issue, since you have been writing a lot for years (and you had time to learn elvish and write poetry in it, so you know how to time manage). The only other things I can think of are that you have run out of ideas (preposterous!) or that there is some immediate concern that must take priority. If that is the case, I wish you the best of luck, health and happiness, as well as its swift resolution.

As a completely separate subject, I did see on FFnet that you had written Candyfloss Days, which would take place after Book of the Dead. Does that mean you have it finished somewhere? Would there be some way you could give me a link so I could read it (or email it in an attachment?) I also have the same question about Appetite. I can’t wait to see what you do. There’s a part of me that thinks Snape will be the chef Hermione’s going to be evaluating. Another part thinks the chef will be full of hype, the seafood gives Hermione indigestion, and then Hermione runs into Snape at the local pharmacy while looking for antacids. Or that Bums will throw a fit for some reason, and turn on a dime, accidentally almost hitting some random stranger walking on the sidewalk… Snape! Anyway, even if you aren’t going back to writing in the near future, is there a time when you think you might return? It seems very sad to leave such wonderful stories unfinished.

Thank you, not only for reading my rants, but also for your wonderful works of art, both literary and otherwise.

First off, a very happy New Year 2011 to you! Second off, thank you for reading my stories and for taking the time to leave such a nice comment in my guestbook. ๐Ÿ™‚

Hmm… I didn’t say that I’m not writing anymore. I only put my fanfic WIPs on hiatus. ๐Ÿ˜‰ And yes, you’re right, it’s not because I’ve run out of ideas. Actually, I know exactly what’s going to happen next in all of my WIPs. But none of it is written yet. They are truly WIPs, with everything posted online that IS written so far.

But unfortunately, there IS a real time issue. I’m a freelance writer and translator … that’s hard work, and often after a long day of translating/editing/writing for other people, I just don’t have enough brain left to write (or even to read) anything. And while I truly love fanfiction, it’s really high time for me to focus on original work again. I can’t do that if I keep having a bad conscience about my fanfic WIPs. Putting them on hiatus was the best solution for the time being. I felt as if a huge weight had lifted from my shoulders.

When I have the time, and the mind, and the Muses to return to them, I will. Promise. At the beginning of this year, I’m thankful that I’ve got some commissions for original art, as well as a commission for an original story. And who knows what 2011 will bring for my fanfic? Maybe the Muses will strike, and I’ll finish Book of the Dead within weeks. Who knows …

Again, thank you for your kindness. And I truly do hope that I will return to my fanfic WIPs at some point.

    Dear Juno,

I just recently found your wonderful blog, but long before that I read one of your HP fanfics, “The Apprentice & The Necromancer”, and when I found that you had it on your blog, I absolutely had to come here & read it again. ๐Ÿ™‚ I have read this story almost 4 times (am working through it again at this very moment), and I can’t wait to peruse more of your work. Also, I couldn’t help but notice your most recent posts on your blog about your dear Jupiter. I offer my deepest sympathy – losing a beloved companion is tough. ๐Ÿ™
(p.s., As a last-minute thought, I loved your anti-spam quiz question about who your favorite HP character’s last name. Sev is my favorite character as well, next to Hermione.)

    • JunoMagic says:

Thank you for your kind words – knowing that I’m not alone is a huge comfort. And of course I’m thrilled you enjoy my writing so much! ๐Ÿ™‚ Thank you for taking the time to leave such a nice comment.

(And I’m happy you like my spam question. ๐Ÿ˜€ Unfortunately it’s impossible to run a blog without some kind of anti-spam thingy, and with the Anti-Spam Quiz I hope it’s at least somewhat amusing …)

    Dear juno,
I just found this sight, its wonderful. A friend suggested one of your stories to me. The Tides of Time and the Bones of the Earth by JunoMagic (you will have to find a way to contact the author and ask if she will send you the story as a PDF)
I would love to read this story, and would love to see many more Elrond fictions. He is my favorite, and I think one of the most over looked charaters. Keep up the good work, and thank you for putting your stories up . Tonya ๐Ÿ˜€

    • JunoMagic says:

Thank you for contacting me! I’m amazed and thrilled that my Elrond story is not yet forgotten. ๐Ÿ™‚ I’ve sent you an e-mail – if Yahoo gives you trouble with the size of the attachment, let me know and I’ll provide a download link for you.
