The Unicorn
He notices the glamour at once, although it’s unobtrusive, almost like make-up. He wonders what she’s hiding, when she’ll tell him. He considers that she’s a vampire, but rejects that idea. Sultry she’s not. And ‘subtle’ that crowd doesn’t do. A selkie? Her hair is silky.
‘You’re what?’
‘A unicorn.’ She blushes, fingers her forehead.
Of course. He exhales as the pieces of the puzzle fall into place.
He kisses her. ‘And I’m uniquely horny, my dear.’
Later, when they lie entwined in the darkness, bathed in her pure white glow, he sighs again.
‘You truly are a unique one.’

Allow yourself to be unique!

This is wonderful. I like the story, the poem and even the song. You are creative. I eagerly await the rest of your Advent treats. 🙂
This is somewhat different than the Advent calendars I remember as a child. :-))
I love it. Great art. Great little story, and I checked it in Word; 100 words. It’s a drabble!
Whoo-hoo!
Much better than a cookbook.
Happy First Day of Advent

And a very happy Advent time to you, too!
I’m trying to write fixed length ficlets for the Advent calendar. Or I’ll be in real trouble…
