My story ratings are recommendations only. All minors should please consult their parents before reading one of the stories posted on this website.
all ages – I am comfortable with reading this story to a three year old boy and his ninety-four year old great-grandmother.
>12 – Stories suitable for older children and young teenagers. Twelve year olds should not be unduly (look, guys: if it’supposed to be a scary story, there will be monsters …) disturbed by anything in this story. In other words, mature themes, intense situations, or difficult topics will either not appear at all, or they will be presented in an adequately mild manner. However, stories with that rating are not suitable for young children.
>16 – Stories suitable for older teenagers and young adults. The story may contain mature material, but within limits. While stories rated “>16” may contain sex and violence, while they may involve intense situations and deal with difficult topics, those aspects will not make up the main theme of the story and will not be presented in a graphical manner.
adults only — Adults only. Even adults may find this material disturbing. These stories may contain scenes in which sex and violence are presented in a drastic, graphical manner. Or anything else you can and cannot imagine. You may only read a story rated “adults only” if it is legal for you to read adult material where you are.
