December 31 – St Patrick’s Blessing

St Patrick's BlessingBased on pictures by gute, jreberlein, mothrah and niecey at stock.XCHANG.

Song 1:
“Irischer Segen”
by Andy Lang

May the road rise to meet you,

May the wind be always at your back,

May the sun shine warm upon your face,

May the rain fall soft upon your fields,

And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the hollow of His hand.

(St Patrick’s Blessing – traditional)

This is the last blessing of the year 2006. I hope you enjoyed the blessings, pictures and songs I posted to get us through December and into the New Year. And if you missed a blessing, don’t worry! Sometime during the next days I’ll post a YouSendIt to a zipped folder with all the songs and an e-book of the blessings.

Thank you for all your kind words, for all the interesting discussions we had here on lj and elsewhere this year, and most of all, for just being *you*.

I wish for you and your loved ones
that all the blessings of this month
may guide you and guard you throughout 2007.

Thank you, my dear. It was a difficult year, but your advent blessings have caused it to end on the right note. My prayer is that you will remain encouraged and victorious throughout the new year!

I haven’t commented on your calendar so far, waiting for the final instalment. I figure this is it, so here goes:
Thank you so much for this advent calendar! Like last year, I’m wowed by the time and effort that must have gone into researching the blessings, finding the songs and creating the pictures. It was lovely to find one of your blessings on my f-list every day, and I’m already looking forward to whatever you come up with for next year’s December. Again, thank you!

Thank you, JunoMagic, for putting together these wonderful blessings and pictures! They have provided me with a moment of peace and calm at the end of the day.

May all the blessings you have sent out return to you ten-fold!
