December 17 – A Blessing of Kindness

BeBased on “Monarch on Mums” by Dinny at stock.XCHANG.

Be generous in prosperity,
and thankful in adversity.

Be fair in thy judgment,
and guarded in thy speech.

Be a lamp unto those who walk in darkness,
and a home to the stranger.

Be eyes to the blind,
and a guiding light unto the feet of the erring.

Be a breath of life to the body of humankind,
a dew to the soil of the human heart,
and a fruit upon the tree of humility.

(Bahá’u’lláh)

Yes. A high aspiration, but so vital! Even just having the hope of being such a person helps one be able to manage it, I think. 😉

Hoping your friends are finding comfort in their hard times, and you with them.

I know that I’ll be never be able to live up to that ideal. But I am determined to at least try to be the best person I can be.

Some days it’s just harder than on other days.

This is a wonderful blessing and something to strive for… even if you fall short in some areas you’ll undoubtedly hit the mark in others.

    Thanks for sharing!
