December 14 – A Native American Blessing

Hold OnBased on “Hands” by Niecey at stock.XCHANG.

Hold on to what is good,
Even if it’s a handful of earth.
Hold on to what you believe,
Even if it’s a tree that stands by itself.
Hold on to what you must do,
Even if it’s a long way from here.
Hold on to your life,
Even if it’s easier to let go.
Hold on to my hand,
Even if someday I’ll be gone away from you.

What an amazing prayer! These are the kinds of things I try to say to people who are struggling, and to read it put all together here so simply and powerfully in one short prayer is amazing. I continue to be very blessed by these blessings you are sharing with us!

I hope you are also being blessed and finding some encouragement in the sharing. I’m sorry to see you are still confused today. 🙁

Thank you for saying that. And yes, I do get a lot out of these blessings. I usually use my breakfast time for photoshopping the banners and choosing the blessing for the day. That’s a little bit of “holy” time every day.

And … uh … life wouldn’t be life without a few nasty surprises now and again, right?
